Tadcaster

We believe that golf is more than just a sport; it’s a community, a passion, and a platform for inclusion. Through our outreach programmes, we work with local communities to provide equipment, coaching, free meals and support to those who may face obstacles in joining traditional golf clubs. We believe that by removing barriers to entry, we can enrich lives, promote health and wellbeing, and foster a sense of belonging for all.

Inclusivity lies at the heart of everything we do

At all of our venues, we’re committed to creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or have never picked up a club before, there’s always a place for you.

Every penny of profit we make from events and food and beverage sales goes back into our charity. That means we can keep developing our programmes to support even more people.

Schools and Juniors

We’re passionate about encouraging and promoting golf among children, recognising its importance not just for the sport but for community development too.

Through our Fun, Food, and Golf programme, we provide children who need it most with free meals and golf coaching during both term time and school holidays. It’s a fantastic opportunity for kids to learn the game and enjoy themselves in a supportive environment.

Women and Girls

We’re dedicated to promoting golf for women and girls and ensuring they have the support they need to stay in the game for the long term.

We encourage women of all ages and skill levels to take up the sport by providing clear pathways for learning and development.

We offer beginner-friendly Mother and Daughter programmes, coaching sessions, and networking opportunities. Ultimately, our aim is to help women feel comfortable and confident by creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where they can connect, share experiences, and build lasting friendships

Golfers with disabilities

Our mission is simple: To make sure that everyone has the opportunity to experience the camaraderie and excitement of golf.

We’re taking positive strides towards making our venues accessible, including educating our team on how to coach golfers with disabilities, making changes to our golf courses and partnering with WheelPower, the national charity for wheelchair sport.

In 2024, we also became the first company to partner with EDGA –  the European Disabled Golf Association. We hosted two EDGA D3 coaching sessions conducted by Mark Taylor – Head of Development for EDGA and R&A Golf Development Consultant and plan to roll out similar sessions at more venues soon.

Community

Giving back is core to who we are. We support local charities and offer our facilities for the community’s benefit, free of charge.

Each venue supports a nominated charity for three years, helping to spread awareness and raise vital funds.

We work with local hospices and host pop-up Bereavement Cafés to support people who have lost loved ones. And many of our venues host Dementia Cafés, offering information and advice as well as free tea, coffee, biscuits and golf lessons

But we’re not just about golf; we host free chess and bridge events for members and local communities too.
